Dishonored Release Date Set For Oct 9

Dishonored release date: The newest action adventure game Dishonored, from Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda, will become available on Oct. 9th. Just in time for cool weather and indoor entertainment. The speaker in the video says the Dishonored release date is Oct. 12 but every other site says its the 9th. I guess its not a big deal though since it’s only a 3 day difference.

Already winning awards: Dishonored won three awards at the official Gamescom 2012, including: the Best Xbox 360 Game award, the Best PlayStation 3 Game award, and the Overall Game of the Show. Eurogamer and Gamestar also announced it as their Game of Show.

Dishonored environment: Takes place in the dark, rat infested, industrial city of Dunwall. Dark and murky, the city is controlled by Tallboys, Thugs and City Guards. As Corvo Atano, your mission is to assassinate the corrupt ruling elite. The imaginary city is based on London at the turn of the 20th century.

Game Genre: First Person Action

Rating: RP-T for rating pending. The game is targeting teens and above and has lots of killing and bloody scenes, depending on how you play the game.

Dishonored Preview Features Top Actors

Dishonored Preview From NBC

Lena Heady as the voice of emilys caretaker in DishonoredNBC got a sneek peak and gives us a preview the Dishonored game. In this Dishonored Preview video they show snippets of the game, but also get into the voices behind the characters. (Sorry about the ad at the beginning, I couldn’t figure out how to get rid of it when I pasted it in.)

John Slattery as the voice of Admiral Havelock in DishonoredIn the Dishonored preview some of the actors, including actor Susan Sarandon, talk about how doing voices for Dishonored is different from other forms of acting. Sarandon also talks about why she signed onto the game and the very interesting twist it has compared to other games in this genre.

Actors in this clip include Susan Saradon, Lena Heady, Chloe Grace Moretz, and John Slattery. It’s a bit long, about 4-5 minutes, but well worth the watch since you learn lots about the characters, which should help in the game. Plus it just sounds like an awesome game.
